About Pivotal PT Our Services

PILATES

The Pilates Method is a system of exercises created by Joseph Pilates, a boxer and gymnast who also studied yoga and martial arts. Pilates-based exercise has evolved into a comprehensive exercise program incorporating current knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics and rehabilitation. It is performed on a mat or specialized equipment that stretches and strengthens muscles through their full range of motion without creating bulk or causing strain.

Joseph Pilates once said, “In 10 sessions you’ll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you’ll see the difference and in 30 sessions you’ll have a different body.”

Clinical Experience

Eveline Erni, P.T., M.A., C.M.A. has over 30 years of clinical experience. At Pivotal Physical Therapy, we treat orthopedic, sports rehabilitation, women’s health, headaches, TMJ disorders, as well as preventing primary and secondary injuries.

Sports Rehabilitation

Physical therapists see many patients who have sustained injuries during athletic activities and the results from rehabilitation are usually excellent. At Pivotal Physical Therapy, the physical therapists are experts in both how to treat the immediate trauma and preventing future injury.

Headaches

Assuming it is a “tension-type” headache, physical therapy can provide some immediate, temporary relief by reducing the upper quarter muscle tightness that is generating the pain, then address the underlying causes for a more permanent “fix”.
