Eveline Erni

PT, MA, CMA, CCTT, CODN

Ms. Erni received her physical therapy degree in 1984 from The University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1986, Ms. Erni completed the Laban/Bartenieff certificate program in movement analysis and in 1993, received a Masters in Movement Sciences from Columbia University. Ms. Erni is a clinical instructor and adjunct lecturer at the New York University College of Dentistry on orofacial pain and TMD. In the fall of 2004, she also lectured the doctoral physical therapy students of Columbia University on the same topics. Ms. Erni is considered to be a Master Clinician by Columbia University.

In 1990, Ms. Erni established a private practice in Manhattan, New York. Starting as a solo practice, it has grown to include 4 full-time physical therapists. Ms. Erni’s physical therapy practice has been a member of The Hospital for Special Surgery’s Rehabilitation Network since 1998.

Nicole Ridout

PT, DPT, SST, WCS

Dr. Nicole Ridout graduated with a degree in Health and Exercise Science from Syracuse University and later received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University. After graduation, she worked at NYU Langone Medical Center and proceeded to outpatient physical therapy in orthopedic and sports physical therapy, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Nicole was the lead investigator for the Undergraduate Research team and has been published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise with professional presentations for the American College of Sports Medicine.

She also acted as the head coach for the Syracuse University Women’s Club Soccer team, in addition to taking on the role of Goalie Coach at Dayton High School. She has received a specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is also a certified Pilates instructor.

Nicole was the recent Chairperson of the Northeastern Pelvic Floor Dysfunction group and has pursued continuing education for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction, including men and women with pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, coccydynia, pudendal neuralgia, endometriosis, and IBS. Nicole uses a creative approach to rehabilitation, blending manual therapy, soft tissue and muscle energy techniques, Pilates principles, yoga and relaxation to restore balance back to the body.

Elaine Borja-Jaffe

PT, DPT, Cert. MDT

Dr. Elaine Borja-Jaffe is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY with a Bachelor’s degree in both Biology and Psychology. She later received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the prestigious New York University. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Physical Therapy Association of New York.

Elaine has treated a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries and general musculoskeletal conditions. She is a certified McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment Method specialist and uses these skills to treat cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions. She is also an experienced APTA CAPP certified pelvic floor clinician that specializes in women's health issues, including female and male incontinence, urinary urgency, vaginal/pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction. Elaine also has extensive experience treating pre- and postnatal mothers with their varied dysfunctions related to pregnancy, including diastasis recti.

Elaine’s interest in health and exercise stems from her personal experience with physical therapy after sustaining several musculoskeletal injuries. Her passion and belief in effective manual therapy and exercise to restore pain-free function allow her to be a dedicated clinician and educator. She knows first-hand that compliance and commitment to the healing process is the key to full recovery.

Amy DelVecchio

PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Amy Phillips is a 2008 graduate of Daemen College in Buffalo, New York receiving both her Bachelors of Science and her doctorate in physical therapy. More recently, Dr. Phillips has received certification as an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association, of which she is a member.

Dr. Phillips has a wide variety of experience in Orthopaedic physical therapy, treating address musculo-skeletal conditions. She has extensive experience treating lower back and neck pain, and a certification from the Hospital for Special Surgery in treating the hip.

Dr. Phillips has co-authored a study on low back pain published in the Journal of Manual and Manipulative Therapy.

Amy is devoted to achieving optimal results through the use of manual techniques, evidence-based exercises, and thoroughly understanding the needs of the whole patient rather than as a diagnosis in isolation. Amy generates a high degree of loyalty from her patients who appreciate and seek-out her evidence-based but compassionate approach to physical therapy.

Radhika Huryn

MSPT

Radhika Huryn received a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 2003. Her eleven years of physical therapy experience include practice in a variety of rehabilitation settings with a primary focus on outpatient orthopedics. Radhika completed professional training in Therapeutic Massage and Hydrotherapy, and received a certification from NCBTMB. More recently, Radhika completed the Level 1 STOTT Pilates training program and enjoys integrating Pilates into her treatment approach.

Prior to joining the team at Pivotal Physical Therapy, Radhika spent five years at Potrero Physical Therapy in San Francisco, California, where she evaluated and treated patients with various orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions. Radhika developed and implemented treatment programs for these patients with an emphasis on manual therapy and Pilates-based rehabilitation, and integrated Pilates-based exercise regimens to improve strength, movement patterns, postural alignment and neuromuscular control. Her years of physical therapy experience also include practice at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, D.C., as well as serving as the clinic director at an outpatient facility in here in New York City.

Radhika’s passion for Pilates-based rehabilitation developed after incorporating it into her daily life during recovery from a severe back injury. Her experience and results from her own Pilates-centric rehabilitation were so transformative that she has since dedicated herself to sharing the same experience with her patients and clients.
